6 Steps To Transform Stress into Success

Ever set yourself a passionate goal that was so big it stressed you out, created anxiety, and had you wondering ‘why the hell am I doing this?’

What if you could convert that anxiety into focus, which then led to highly productive results? Once I learned the elements to do this, it was a major component in my success equation.

You must covet success at the deepest level

You must have a passionate desire to obtain your goal. If the fire isn’t in your belly, this isn’t going to work for you. You must be working towards something you really want.

The stress that arises when you’re working towards a passion is the type of energy you can harness to propel you towards your end goal, instead of letting it cripple you.

So ensure you’re on-purpose, fuelled by passion, and committed to the journey.

Determine your role

Do you believe that your purpose in life is to achieve your chosen objective no matter what? For me, this meant starting my own business. I had no idea how to make my ambition come true because I had dropped out of high school, had no accounting expertise, and had no large sum of money to my name.

I rearranged my life because I genuinely believed it was my mission and wanted to give it everything I had. There’s so much worry over it! It required accepting responsibility and putting family resources towards a business possibility with no safety net.

Now that you’ve seen it, #1 is really significant. The second step is to give yourself permission to assume the position that will enable you to realise your goal, thus you must have a strong desire to do so.

Are you already tense just thinking about that? You may trust me; I’ve been there. But by making a conscious effort, you may transform that fear. As an entrepreneur, it was my duty to support myself with the resources of the family. By having what I would refer to as a leadership dialogue with my family, I was able to transform that fear into focus. I calculated. I came to the conclusion that we needed to go forwards because we were now standing still. I then took on that duty.

A couple of years later, I was a self-made millionaire.

Identify good stress vs. bad stress

You will encounter tension as you work to realise your goal, but it’s crucial to understand how to distinguish between the good and the bad.

Stress causes the body to grow. Stress fosters character development, emotional development, spiritual development, and physical development. There will undoubtedly be ups and downs when you pursue your dreams, but let those challenges to strengthen you.

Negative stress is the kind that results from not taking charge of your life. Even when you are far from your area of passion and comfort, problems continue to arise. This tension is crippling, weakens you, and feeds the “poor me” mentality. No dreams were created by wallowing in self-pity.

If you think that anxiety makes you weak, it will become a reality. Confronting and altering those beliefs will help bring those issues into focus.

Surround yourself with success stories

Put yourself in a position where you can observe others accomplishing the goal you are pursuing. Allow their energy to influence you!

If everyone else is successfully doing it and enjoying it, you’re more inclined to bungee leap off that bridge. Start thinking of yourself as one of those individuals; transform your fear into sufficient focus to jump!

I introduced myself to those who were already making the kind of money I wanted and began up conversations with them about their achievements. Ask them for advice! Examine their behaviour to see how you can imitate it.

Back yourself to win

You’ll come across some people who are going to try and talk you down from your goal. They may be coming from a good place and think they’re helping you, but these discussions can create doubt and stress around the pursuit of your vision.

Don’t let them derail you. Hold your authority as the leader of your life, and respectfully let them know you’ve got this!

Take back your ownership and control and that anxious energy will support you instead of disable you.

Don’t be paralyzed by illogical fears

I was succumbing to so many irrational concerns that I was constantly on the verge of becoming scared. I felt somewhat restrained in everything I did, so I began confronting them.

I leapt out of an aeroplane because I’m afraid of heights. I used to be terrified of the water, so I would swim in the ocean every day until I learned to embrace my absurd fear and associated worry.

Growth occurs where there is tension. If you persevere and resist giving up, you may channel that vigour into focus, which will help you go where you want to go.

It gives you power!
