11 WAYS TO BE MORE PRODUCTIVE AT WORK

No matter what you do for a living, it probably seems as though there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Well, guess what? There aren’t enough hours in the day. However, successful guys make the most of their working hours by working smart.

Here are some tips to help you work smarter so you can be more productive at work.

1- Prioritize your tasks

This is an ongoing task in itself. Which is more crucial? Are you awaiting a client’s request to extend the contract? Put your tasks in order of return on investment (ROI). Any person can accomplish this; the key is knowing how. Create a weekly or monthly calendar if you enjoy schedules. Making a priority list at the beginning of each day may be the solution if you prefer lists. Priorities help you achieve goals, but more importantly, they make sure that you concentrate on the things that will make you successful.

2- Leave at a specific time

You’re likely to work more productively if you know you have to leave at 5 o’clock sharp. We seem to thrive when we have deadlines, for some reason. If you promise to leave work when you’re done, you’ll probably encounter two issues: First, how will you know when you’re done with everything you have to do? Second, you’ll put things off if there is no set end time. Setting a deadline enables you to rise to the occasion and prioritize your tasks.

3- Plan phone calls

Set aside some time to complete all of your phone calls. Playing phone tag is a waste of time, and receiving calls while working on something else might prevent it from moving forwards. Instead, consider the times when you can reach different people and phone them at those times. Don’t forget to take callers’ time zones and calling patterns into account. 4- Deal with things immediately

If a situation arises and you can handle it in a few minutes, take care of it immediately away. things serves no purpose to put things off. But keep in mind that this advice only applies to simple tasks like answering a client enquiry. You should never start tasks in this manner; you’ll never finish anything.

5- Keep your desk clutter-free

It’s slowing you down if you don’t need it right now or at all. So that you don’t waste time looking for documents, organise all of your files. Do the same with your inbox for emails. Remove any extra directories and files. Generally speaking, if you use it at least once every day, it can stay. If not, put it away.

6- Set your own working schedule

All men don’t work the same. If you’re a morning person, you should probably accomplish the labor-intensive tasks in the morning when you’re most productive. 7- Streamline recurring tasks

Make sure to do those chores efficiently by scheduling them for when you know there will be a gap in activity. 8- Have a running to-do list

By doing this, you can make sure that you never run out of things to accomplish and that you never waste time hunting for your next assignment. Include a list of all your upcoming chores here. Make a to-do list for the following day at the end of the day so that you can get to work right away when you get at the office. You’ll feel more satisfied knowing that something is finished if you keep the list close at hand and mark off tasks as you complete them.

Spend less time switching between your PC, email inbox, and smartphone. assemble all relevant data into a single, easily accessible location. Make sure you have a backup of that information wherever you store it.
